There were like 5 scenic stops along our drive and we stopped at one to have a picnic. It was a nice drive (lots of turns and twists), but there were so many trees along the rim, you could not see much of the canyon. ![]() Why? It’s gross and no one wants to look at your garbage - Do better! We also drove along the scenic Little River Canyon Parkway. The water was probably around 80 degrees and it felt amazing! My only complaint - people are leaving wet, baby diapers all over the rocks. It’s a little bit of a steep, rocky hike to get down there, but it’s really not too bad. It is an easy walk from the parking lot to observe the waterfall and boy oh boy, it’s a pretty one! People were lounging on the rocks and swimming in the pools over the waterfall, so we put on our swimsuits and headed down for a swim. Our first stopped was the Little River Waterfall. My husband and I rented a cabin in Mentone, Al (we are from Florida and needed to cool off), so we had to check out this park since it was so close.
